WARD COUNTY, N.D. (KFGO) – An 80-year-old Douglas man died Thursday in a two-vehicle crash in Ward County.
The State Patrol says the victim was driving a UTV on a road a mile west of Douglas. A cement truck, driven by a 68-year-old Minot man, was also traveling west.
As the cement truck began passing the side-by-side, the UTV driver made a left turn in front of the truck. The cement truck tipped over onto the driver’s side, blocking both lanes of traffic.
The driver of the UTV died while the cement truck driver was injured and transported to a Minot hospital.
The UTV driver has been identified as Gorlyn Wohlk.
The crash remains under investigation.
