Police investigating after man’s body found near Red River in north Fargo

FARGO (KFGO) – Fargo Police are investigating after a man was found dead next to the Red River Sunday.

Police say a fisherman found an unresponsive man in the 100 block of Maple Street N. around 1:45 p.m. Officers responded and determined the man was dead.

The man’s name is being withheld until family is notified.

No other information is being released.

Fargo Police is asking anyone who may have information about the man’s death to call Red River Regional Dispatch Center at 701.451.7660 and ask to speak with an FPD Shift Commander. Anonymous tips can be submitted by texting keyword FARGOPD and the tip to 847411.
