
FARGO (KFGO) – Fargo Cass Public Health is hosting another measles, mumps, and rubella walk-in vaccine clinic today from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Fargo.
The vaccine clinic is in response to the first cases of measles in North Dakota in 14 years. Two cases are in Cass County and 10 in the western part of the state. All the cases were contracted during overseas travel.
The vaccine clinic will be at the Fargo class Public Health building at 1240 25th Street south. entry will be on the south side of the building, through the west door.
Appointments are not necessary. The vaccine will be available for those currently recommended to receive it. People should bring insurance information. For those without health insurance, the vaccine is covered under both the Vaccines for Children and the Vaccines for Adults programs, meaning there is minimal cost.
Anyone with symptoms consistent with measles or who have had a known exposure should contact their healthcare provider.
At a vaccine clinic last Thursday, 30 people were vaccinated for measles.
