GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO/KVRR) — Police arrested a North Carolina man after they say he attempted to assault an officer following a pursuit in Grand Forks Wednesday.
An officer tried to stop 22-year-old Martin Romo for speeding on Demers Avenue around 6:20 p.m. but Romo did not stop. Officers used spike strips and two Pursuit Intervention Techniques during the pursuit that ended in the 400 block of 1st Avenue S.
Officers detained Romo and two other people before he was arrested for fleeing, reckless endangerment, and attempted assault on a law enforcement officer.
The passengers were released without charges.
No injuries were reported.
