PEORIA, Ill. – A woman is dead after reportedly being struck by a vehicle Wednesday evening in Peoria.
Peoria Police say officers responded just before 7:00 P.M. to reports of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle in the area of Knoxville and East Orchard.
Police say the vehicle was traveling on Knoxville when the female was struck.
An individual was attempting life saving measures until paramedics arrived, but the victim succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The driver and the vehicle involved in the crash remained on scene.
The crash is under investigation.
