PEORIA, Ill. – One person was injured Monday night after shots were fired in South Peoria, near Manual High School.
Peoria Police say officers were called to the scene around 8:55 p.m. to the 2400 block of W. Howett Street after a ShotSpotter alert indicated 10 rounds had been fired near W. Millman Street.
PPD found a male victim with an apparent gunshot wound. Police did not release information about the victim’s age or the severity of his injuries.
Police Spokesperson Semone Roth says PPD is investigating, and further details will be released later on Tuesday.
