PEKIN, Ill. – Pekin Police have arrested a woman allegedly responsible for the death of a 10-month-old baby.
The suspect, 21-year-old Makenna Rhodes, was booked into the Tazewell County Jail Thursday on first-degree murder charges in connection with the infant’s death.
On June 26th, Pekin Police were called to a home on Florence Avenue, where they found the baby not breathing.
The baby was taken to an area hospital, where they later died.
The Tazewell County State’s Attorney’s Office will prosecute the case.
No other information has been released at this time.
